Jesus, in John 20:24-29, rebuked Thomas for needing to see the miracle of His resurrected body in order to believe. And Christ instead blessed those (then and even now) who believe without having to see a miracle.

For that matter, Not even Jesus, in His 7 letters to the Church in Revelation, mentions signs and wonders. The only two churches of the seven He had NO REBUKES for were SMYRNA (the faithful unto death church), and Philadelphia (the kept My word and not denied My name church). And what was Smyrna faithful unto death for but their faith in Christ’s word and His name!
